Oriol makes stunning wines in the Alella DO just north of Barcelona. He's a trained enologist and teaches at the local university. The vineyards are mostly older plots of indigenous varieties scattered throughout the northwestern hills. Many of the whites are based on Pansa Blanca with varying amounts of skin maceration and the rosats are usually co-ferments of both red and white varieties.
We are very excited to offer small quantities of 12 different wines from him as well as a few collaboration projects with friends. The Bardissots line is made with his friends Pep & Pilar who I had the pleasure of meeting and sharing a lunch with last year. He also makes a magnum only project called 3 Porcs with friends Albert (Celler Tuets) and Francesc (Celler Frisach) with each winemaker contributing 1/3 of the final wine.
